Privacy Policy

Your files stay on your device

All image processing, compression, cropping, background removal, text extraction, face detection, upscaling, PDF conversion and diff comparisons happen entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to our servers. We do not store, access, or transmit any files you use with Snappy Kit.

Share links and map links

When you create a Diff Kit share link, both texts are compressed into the part of the URL after #. Browsers never send that part to a server, so we never see it, but anyone you give the link to can read its contents. When a photo has GPS data, the “Open map” link opens OpenStreetMap with those coordinates, and only if you click it.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data such as page views and custom events (e.g. which tools are used most). This data does not include personal information and cannot be used to identify individual users.

Cookies and local storage

Snappy Kit does not set cookies, and Vercel Web Analytics is cookieless. Your settings, saved presets and file-name pattern are kept in your browser's local storage. If you turn on session restore, your current images and diff inputs are kept in your browser's IndexedDB. None of this leaves your device, and clearing site data removes it.

AI models and other downloads

Some tools run AI models in your browser. The first time you use one, your browser downloads the model files from the CDN listed below. These are plain file downloads: your images and text are never sent with them. The installed app keeps these files so the tools work offline afterwards.

• Extract text (OCR): Tesseract engine and English language data from cdn.jsdelivr.net
• Detect faces: MediaPipe runtime from cdn.jsdelivr.net
• Detect faces: BlazeFace model from storage.googleapis.com
• Upscale: Swin2SR model from huggingface.co
• Upscale: ONNX runtime from cdn.jsdelivr.net

We don't host these files ourselves because together they come to roughly 100 MB. Serving them from their publishers' CDNs keeps the app small for people who never use those tools.

Data we collect

We do not collect personal data such as names, emails, or IP addresses. The only data collected is anonymous analytics (page views and tool usage events).

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
